Summary:  "You know, for some reason, every great con man in the world needs to master the game of pool at some point in his life." Even the great Neal Caffrey had to come from somewhere. The story of how a dingy pool hall and an old grifter put a young boy on the path to becoming one of the greatest cons in the world.

Why rec'd?  I think that what I enjoyed the most about this story is how everyone is very in-character. The story is weaved so that everything that happens is basically cannon. It's completely plausible that this is what actually happened to Danny Brooks, and it explains why and how he became Neal Caffrey. Plus, Neal (Danny) as a smart and conning boy in the pool hall is something we all want to see, right? ;-)
