It's the hottest kiss a non-couple EVER HAD. It's ache and angst and panty-soaking WANT. It's gorgeous, and I loved it, and it's going into my memories for sure!

Prompt: Historical AU with lots of UST and then smut
Summary: Peter/Neal. AU set in Eighteenth Century France. Peter is new to Paris, and Neal quickly becomes his friend. But is there an ulterior motive? Based very loosely on Dangerous Liaisons. Includes sex and light kink, trust issues, secret plots, etc.

Why Rec'd: Because, um, WOW. The dialogue is phenomenally smart, and both it and the interactions between Peter/Pierre and Neal/Nicolas take what's best about the show and canon and then weave a beautiful, tension-fraught AU with it, complete with some of the hottest damn UST I think I've ever read (plus white hot sex)!

Summary: From the author - After the battle in the Laurentian System, the Defiance requires extensive repairs, leaving Captain Burke filling in at Starfleet Academy (whether he wants to or not), where he meets troubled half-Vulcan Neal Caffrey, under what are not the best circumstances for either of them.
Why rec'd? I am actually surprised this hasn't been rec'd before and I couldn't find it anywhere, so I am assuming it wasn't yet. So I get the honors. This fic is brilliant on so many levels. I didn’t want to read it at first because it was a strange crossover. But was convinced and it has become one of my all time favorites. Read this and enjoy a whole new look at Neal as a part Vulcan cadet and Peter as a Starship Captain. The other characters make appearances but very minor. You will fall in love.
One of the best parts is that it is LONG about 100k words.

In all honesty, this fic never fails to make me cry. And bonus points for beautiful use of poetry. I decided to use the character study tag for this fic, but really it defies classification.
