Title: Be Worth It
Author: little purple butterflies
Spoilers: 1x02
Word Count: 3518
Characters: Reese Hughes (POV). Neal, Lauren and Peter appear (in voice only for latter two), Jones and other agents are mentioned in the background.
Pairings: Gen.
Summary: Normally Hughes was a good judge of character. With Neal though, Reese learned, there was more than meets the eye. Set during the scene in the park near the end of 1x02 'Threads'.

Why rec'd?: This really feels like Hughes and how he might think about Caffrey at this stage, with a mix of suspicion and maybe the start of grudging respect.

Title:  You Ruined Everything (In the Nicest Way)
Author:  jmtorres
Spoilers:  Pilot/basic premise of the show
Characters:  Peter, Neal, Elizabeth, Jones, Cruz, Hughes, Kate
Pairings:  None
Warning:  None
Summary:  A story of missed connections, in which Peter doesn't know what to say, Neal doesn't seem to want to hear it, and Elizabethan translation proves vital.

Why rec'd?  The author takes something that doesn't seem like it should work and not only makes it believable but uses canon elements and dynamics to blend it perfectly with the show.  The characterizations are spot on.  It is funny, touching and features Awesome!Elizabeth too.

Title:Working Lunch (note: link is to FF.net, not LJ)
Author: Mojave Dragonfly
Spoilers: none
Characters: Lauren, Neal, Peter, Ruiz
Pairings: (if appropriate) none, gen
Warning: none
Summary: Don't you hate it when someone steals your lunch from the break room refrigerator? So does Agent Ruiz.
Why rec'd? The writer brilliantly uses the rare POV of Lauren Cruz here to give us a glimpse of Peter and Neal's dynamic. Not particularly sympathetic in the show itself, she stays in character in the fic yet still steers us towards a great moment of comfort towards the end. The writer utilizes an interesting flashback back, flash forward storytelling that keeps the reader interested all the way through.
